Goodbye Diabetes: From 400 to 81 Without Medication

The doctors have said that diabetes is incurable and that rather than curing it, a person could only maintain it with medication for the rest of their life.

Over the past few weeks, I've been working with a woman who has been suffering from type 2 diabetes for over ten years. Her sugar levels were extremely high — normal sugar levels are between 66 and 99, and her sugar levels were 400 when we began. After a few weeks of putting her on a program, her sugar levels are now 81 with no medication.

How It Works

Type 2 diabetes is caused from a high fat diet. Think of your body as a house, and the windows and doors as your body's insulin receptors. When your body takes in food, it breaks it down to glucose (sugar). This sugar then travels through the insulin receptors (the doors) giving your body energy. When a person is on a high fat diet, the fat eventually seals the doors shut, keeping the sugar from flowing in. The sugar, having nowhere to go, stays in the blood and builds up until it becomes diabetes.

Since diabetes is caused from a high fat diet, the first thing we do is put patients on a low fat diet of two meals a day, free from all animal products. This will unclog the doors from all the stored fat. To get rid of all the stored sugar, a person must walk 1 hour twice a day — this causes the insulin receptors to eat up the stored sugar. Once sugar levels are normal on a regular basis with no medication, the diabetes is gone.
